Republicans see Indiana in the red

Republicans expect retiring Sen. Evan Bayh’s (D-Ind.) seat to move to the red column after November.
And the polling on the race backs their argument.
Their candidate, former Sen. Dan Coats (R), is leading the Democratic nominee, Rep. Brad Ellsworth, by double digits in most public surveys. A poll released Friday by the anti-abortion group Susan B. Anthony List showed Coats leading the congressman 50 percent to 35, with 14 percent undecided.
