Baron Hill's earmarks!

Blue Dogs at risk get help, $200M - TheHill.com:

House Democratic leaders have directed tens of millions of dollars in federal funds to the districts of vulnerable incumbents, including many conservative Blue Dogs who typically stress fiscal restraint.

Nearly $200 million worth of earmarks has gone to members of the Blue Dog Coalition — including $150 million in the military construction appropriations bill and over $44 million in the transportation bill."
Well, I wonder where our favorite Blue Dog, Baron Hill, fits in this deal? Oh wait, here it is:

Some Blue Dogs, such as Rep. Jim Cooper (D-Tenn.), do not request earmarks. But many others do, and with good success.

Recipients include Reps. Baron Hill (D-Ind.), Stephanie Herseth Sandlin (D-S.D.) and Zack Space (D-Ohio), all of whom come from districts with a Republican voter registration advantage.

Now go here to check out Baron's earmarks and please note where the bulk of them went in the district - surprise! Bloomington! Then remember the Rahm Emmanuel fundraiser , for Baron, in Bloomington in January. Then remember Baron's votes on Obamacare, cap and trade, the Stimulus fiasco, etc, ad nauseum. Then go here to see that Baron Hill votes with Nancy Pelosi 82% of the time and votes with the Democrats 88% of the time.

Then ask yourself does Baron Hill really represent the 9th District, where registered Republicans outnumber Democrats? Then ask yourself, is Baron Hill the "fiscal conservative" he claims to be? - SP
